Ablyon ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through ablyon.tech, why we collect it, who receives it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to visitors, people who contact us, newsletter subscribers and our clients.

1. Who we are
Ablyon is the controller of the personal data described here: we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us at hello@ablyon.tech or on +44 7534 817578. Privacy requests go to the same email address.
When we process personal data for a client, for example when we set up tracking or build an automation on a client's website, the client is the controller and we act as its processor (service provider). Clause 12 covers that.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need for the purposes in clause 3. It comes from you, from your browser and, for booked calls, from our scheduling provider.

Email signup Your email address. Booking a call Name, email and the time you pick, collected by Cal.com when you book. We receive a copy. Writing or calling us Whatever you tell us, plus the email address or phone number you use. Free tracking check The web address you enter. We read the public code of that page to run the check. We do not store the address or the result. Free calculators and link builder These run in your browser. We do not receive what you type. Security and bot checks Your IP address and browser signals, processed by Cloudflare Turnstile and by our own rate limits. For the limits we keep a salted hash of your IP address for a short time, not the address itself. Cookies and similar tools If you choose Accept all: pages viewed, clicks, device and browser, approximate location from your IP address, referrer, and for session replay how you moved around a page. See our Cookie policy. If you choose Reject non-essential, none of these optional tools run. We do not ask for special category data (health, beliefs, biometrics and similar) and we do not want it. Please do not put it in a form or message.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR we need a legal basis for each use. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights and you can object (clause 8).

Cookies and similar technologies
Essential storage keeps the site working and remembers your cookie choice. It does not need consent. Analytics and advertising tools are off by default. They run only after you choose Accept all, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Choosing Reject non-essential is as easy as accepting, and we do not use pre-ticked boxes, scroll or continued browsing as consent.
We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request not to share your data for advertising. We never switch optional tools on without a click on Accept all.

5. Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the site and our business, and only as far as needed:
- Hosting and delivery: Vercel and Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, delivery and the Turnstile bot check).
- Email: Resend sends the emails our forms produce, and our email provider holds our mailbox.
- Database: Neon stores partner enquiries.
- Scheduling: Cal.com, if you book a call.
- Analytics and advertising, only if you accept: Google (Tag Manager and Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity and Bing Ads) and Meta (Pixel).
- Advisers and authorities: accountants, lawyers and insurers, and public bodies where the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor: if our business is ever sold or merged, subject to this policy.
Each provider is bound by a contract that limits its use of your data. Some, such as Google, Microsoft and Meta, also act as independent controllers for their own purposes under their own privacy policies.
6. Transfers outside your country
Our providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. When personal data of people in the UK or EEA leaves those regions, we rely on a safeguard recognised by law: an adequacy decision (including the UK-US data bridge and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified), or standard contractual clauses, with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where needed.

7. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as the purpose needs it, or as the law requires. When the time is up we delete it or make it anonymous.
- Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 2 years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Clients: for the engagement and then up to 6 years, because tax, accounting and legal-claim rules require it.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We then keep your address on a suppression list so we do not email you again.
- Bot-check and rate-limit data: a short time, measured in hours and days.
- Cookies and analytics: for the period shown in the Cookie policy, and no longer than needed in the analytics tools themselves.
If a legal claim or investigation is likely, we may keep relevant records longer.
8. Your rights in the UK and EEA
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- be told how we use your data (this policy);
- ask for a copy of your data (access);
- have wrong data corrected, and in some cases erased or restricted;
- object to use based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time, with no reason needed;
- receive data you gave us in a common format, where we use it under consent or contract (portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew;
- not be subject to a decision based only on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects. We make no such decisions.
Email hello@ablyon.tech. We reply within one month and may ask you to prove who you are. It is free, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, or to your local EU data protection authority (a list is at edpb.europa.eu).
9. Your rights in the US
If you live in a US state with a privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia or Utah, you may have the following rights, subject to each law's limits: to know and access the personal information we hold, to delete it, to correct it, to get a portable copy, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.
What we collect and why. In the last 12 months we collected identifiers and contact details (name, email, phone, IP address), business information you gave us, your messages, and, only if you accepted cookies, internet activity such as pages viewed and device data. We use it for the purposes in clause 3 and share it with the providers in clause 5. We do not collect sensitive personal information on purpose, and we do not knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.
Sale, sharing and targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta and Microsoft receive data about your visit, which some state laws call “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising or “targeted advertising”. To opt out, choose Reject non-essential, use Cookie settings in the footer, or send a Global Privacy Control signal. We treat that signal as a valid opt-out request.
How to ask. Email hello@ablyon.tech with the subject “Privacy request”. We reply within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days where the law allows. An authorised agent may ask for you with your written permission. If we refuse a request you can appeal by replying to our email with the word “Appeal”, and if the appeal fails you may contact your state attorney general.
California residents may also ask which categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing. We make no such disclosures.
10. Other countries
If you are in the United Arab Emirates, India or another country with a data protection law, such as the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, the DIFC or ADGM data protection laws, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the rights that law gives you. Use the contact details above and we will act on your request. We apply the access, correction, erasure and objection rights in clause 8 to everyone, wherever they live, as far as we can.
11. Email marketing
We send the newsletter only to people who sign up for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link and we act on it right away. We may also email business contacts about relevant services where the law lets us, with an opt-out in every message. We never send marketing to personal addresses without consent. You can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@ablyon.tech.
12. Data we handle for clients
When a client hires us to set up tracking, ads, a website or an automation, we may handle personal data about the client's own visitors or customers. We do that only on the client's written instructions, as its processor under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and as a service provider under US state laws. The client is responsible for its own privacy notice, cookie banner and lawful basis for collecting the data, and we say so in our terms.
We sign a data processing agreement with a client on request. If you are a client's customer and want to use your rights, contact that client first. We will help them answer you.
13. AI tools
We use AI tools to help draft, research and build. A person reviews what an AI tool produces before it reaches you or affects you, and nothing publishes unread. We do not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effect using automated means alone.
14. Security
We protect personal data with HTTPS encryption, access limited to the people who need it, bot protection and rate limits on our forms, and reputable providers that publish their own security measures. No online service is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk we will tell the regulator within 72 hours where the law requires it, and we will tell you without undue delay.
15. Children
Our services are for businesses. This site is not meant for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
16. Links to other sites
Our pages link to other sites, such as LinkedIn and Crunchbase, and to sources we cite. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
17. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our tools, services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will say so on the site, and tell newsletter subscribers by email.
